Quantock Heather

Quantock Heather

Every year towards the end of summer, heather blooms into flowers covers the peaks of Quantock Hills with purple. On this particular morning, a temperature inversion caused the cloud base to fall to the sea level. Clouds extended for miles in each direction and the peaks of quantocks were barely above the cloud level. Every once in a while, some of the clouds would drift over the peaks and fill the valleys in-between, creating a stunning atmosphere.
